Justin's First Haircut

Justin did very well for his haircut. He was really interested in watching to see how it was done. After that he wanted to try it himself. Enjoy!

Surprise!

Okay, I bet a lot of your were wondering if I would ever post again. I was kinda wondering the same thing. Here is the family photo that I promised. I do have lots more to share, but my USB port is not liking my camera card.

So much has changed in Justin within the last month. He is a much happier child and a lot easier to get along with. The biggest change has been his screaming tantrums. When he would go on screaming and crying for over an hour, I knew something had to change, or I was going to have a nervous breakdown (I am not kidding either!) I really felt he liked to hear himself scream. So you are wondering what I did to stop it? Simple--Vinegar I would just go squirt a tiny bit in his month, then it was quite. We still do have melt downs once in a while, just not long ones.

I had mentioned about our church melt downs with Justin. Thankfully, that is over now. Geoff and I let him go to Sunday School (I stay in to help) and then took him to the Church service with us. I must admit, that when the service was over, we felt like we just had a good workout, trying to keep Justin quiet and still. Anyway, we did this for several weeks and he never did have a melt down when leaving. This past Sunday, I let him stay in nursery during the Church service and he did wonderful leaving.

I took him to an International Adoption Doctor today, he did very good. He cried a little bit getting his blood taken, they had to stick him in both arms. I couldn't have asked him to do any better than he did. We should find out the results next week. Overall, he is in the 50 percentile in growth. He has gained 2 pounds since being with us. He still eats like crazy, and is so full of energy. I must add, he is very noisy too. Always, singing or trying to talk. He hasn't added very many words since I last wrote.

Last night he discovered his belly button. It was so funny, he saw it as a hole in his tummy and thought he needed a band aide. We got such a laugh out of that. It took us a long time to convince him that he was OK.

Happy New Year

Sorry to have not posted in a while. I had high hopes of posting a new family picture and news letter, but we had trouble getting our family photos done. We did manage to get them taken (Monday evening before Christmas), but we have not gotten them back yet. So those of you who are waiting on a Christmas card from us, well it may be a while longer.

Christmas went very well here at home. Geoff's parents were here, and Justin did very well. He didn't have a single meltdown till they were leaving our home. I have really enjoyed this Christmas break, having my older daughter here to help out with Justin and not having any school work or piano to worry about. I managed to squeeze in reading a few books.
